PackshotCreator R3 Mark II: a new era for 360 product photography
A 360 photo studio equipped with the latest technological innovations: the PackshotCreator R3 Mark II, the 7th of its line, is equipped with an asynchronous 360 rotation turntable and a backlit cyclo background. The PackshotCreator software controls and automates all types of photography. Whether the latter are made in 2D, 360°, spherical or hemispherical, the PackshotCreator R3 Mark II has all the required qualities necessary to create visuals on a white background or transparent background, and even enriched, intended to all types of communication support.
Complete lighting system for the most complex products to photograph
The 360 photo studio PackshotCreator R3 Mark II embeds 9 lighting sources; The photo studio benefits from a homogeneous lighting environment. “The lighting system is composed of LED crystals that have been tailored for this studio. The LEDs have a lifetime of 50,000 hours and provide a color temperature of 5700°K. With a CRI above 95, the color rendering of the photographed objects is very accurately transposed to the image,” explains Laurent Wainberg, director and founder of PackshotCreator.
A 360° photo studio dedicated to a wide range of products
The addition of LED strips under the backlit turntable and under the cyclo background provides perfect homogeneity in the background, without any demarcation between the turntable and the background. This makes it even easier to remove the background with the three algorithms AutoPNG, AutoBKG and AutoMask. With its new dimensions, the PackshotCreator R3 Mark II offers the possibility of taking pictures of products measuring up to 62,8 x 62,8 x 84,5 cm. The backlighting space now occupies 81% of the width of the cabinet, 14% more than before (version L).
Its 76.2 cm diameter turntable supports up to 32 kg and is fully backlit. Marks have been placed in its center to help its users to better place their products. In addition, there is a positioning laser (optional) and the Ghostimage Image feature.
In order to eliminate USB signal errors, common to many competing systems, connectors have been added and the internal wiring has been redesigned to avoid possible interference.

Even more flexible than the previous version, the PackshotCreator R3 Mark II can be easily disassembled to offer many points of view during photo shoots. Black curtains can also be integrated into the solution. They replace side and front panels by reinforcing the studio’s light isolation when loading large products.

Its new electronic board was developed by PackshotCreator engineers. It controls the lighting and allows the intensity to be adjusted independently from 1 to 100% for 7 sources to provide precise and personalized lighting. A system that further facilitates the production of quality and standardized visuals.
The 360° turntable has now a hybrid engine: quieter, vibrations are almost non-existent during the rotation. It is equipped with the same type of engine as the 360 PackshotSpin Jewelry. It offers smooth and delicate rotations, thanks to automatic speed regulation. It is also much faster and allows 360° rotation in just 10 seconds, 40% faster than with the engine of an older generation system.
The absolute encoder: to achieve the ultimate precision, PackshotCreator experts have equipped this photo studio with an absolute encoder. Its role in the rotation of the turntable is to send positioning information to the software, allowing any user to control his turntable with agility for efficient product placement.
