Diamond-specific photographic equipment
The PackshotMacro X2 will be your best ally if you have a great amount of diamonds and gems to photograph, share and showcase online on your e-commerce shop or your Amazon page. All photography settings can be saved, locked and repeated so that the user can focus on performance.
The product photography software simultaneously controls the camera, the adjustable LED light, the turntable with vacuum, and the entire 360° product photography workflow.
It can be used for stones and diamonds of any color, size, quality or shape. Workflows are created to increase consistency and automate steps from product placement to automatic upload of results to the cloud.
The interior environment of the PackshotMacro X2 has been designed to elucidate and capture the characteristics of a diamond or gemstone that make them unique:
Delicate and concise lighting
To best represent the details of a diamond or gemstone, the impact of the lighting and its intensity must be precise.
The PackshotMacro X2 is composed of two light sources that can be adjusted from 1 to 100% and from 3000°K to 5700°K, as well as accessories that can be used to harden or soften the lighting:
- Zenithal light source: from the ceiling of the photo studio
- Front light source: four LED strips
- The lighting of the LED panels can be softened with the removable diffuser panels (included)
- To these light sources, we have added two lateral matrices, one in the front and one in the back, allowing to obtain more reflections when rotating, without overexposing the stones.
A precise double shot
To properly photograph and animate a stone, the angle of the camera must be finely chosen. We have therefore integrated two micrometric supports into the PackshotMacro X2 so that you can alternate between front-facing photography and 45° photography without having to constantly move the camera.
Once fixed, the angles are perfect and all you have to do is position your stone meticulously.
Each bracket allows you to adjust the vertical and horizontal axes of the two cameras, as well as their distance from the stone being photographed.
The capacities of a 100 mm macro lens (highly recommended) will then be exploited to the full, for a qualitative and precise visual rendering.
The capabilities of the turntable have also been exploited to the fullest. With the turntable of the PackshotMacro X2, you can rotate and tilt the stone. Every angle and reflection can be photographed and animated, as if it was in your hand or in your client’s hand.
Combined with the powerful suction system, the turntable is equipped with seven interchangeable black or white plates with different diameters for the suction of stones of different sizes.
Five air caps are also included in the system, for 360° face-up animations.
